Just a quick con run-down.
Friday - Showed up. Realized the con was... well, it consisted of a hallway, some rooms and that was about it. Was not worth the 40$ dollars charge for the weekend, but I hoped with my contribution that the con will be larger next year.
Went as Barnaby from Tiger & Bunny. ~
TeslaMonty as Major Klaus from Eroica with Love, ~
snakedizzle as Russia and *
Vitane as a human Fluttershy.
Our Fluttershy was indeed the star of the show that day.
The dealer's hall was probably the most impressive part of this con. And that's saying something.
Opening Ceremonies were a joke. It was 'hosted' by an Ouran Host Club cosplay group. The Tamaki's unnecessary and crude 'French' accent made relaying information extremely difficult. I walked away from it knowing little more than when I came in. None of the guests were properly introduced, with just the bare minimum of information given about them. I didn't even know some of them were famous Voice Actor's until I checked my pamphlet.
Met an Elesa, Skyla and Lucario that were amazing cosplayers.
Saturday - Started out with doing Lolita to attend a BJD meet with ~
TeslaMonty.
After that, I changed back into Barnaby. We met some really nice people, but still, the con was a hallway and we were often sitting around completely bored out of our skulls.
Met some very, very nice people and I'm glad to finally meet some more cosplay friends. For such a small con, they have some very impressive cosplays including a Steampunk Group that went all out with their leatherwork and props.
I also met some really cool folks that sat and talked to me. Thanks for curing my boredom~
Sunday - Finally was able to drag ~
Asumaruu to the con center.
The con, by this point, had become completely barren. There was little if nothing to do, so we just caroused the hallway back and forth until we finally gave up and went home.
Had a photoshoot in Kansas City for Tiger & Bunny. We sweat like pigs in our outfits. D:
So yeah, that was Motaku. Here's to hoping Nakacon is more eventful!
Sorry a horrible tamaki cosplayer ruined that opening ceremony. =3= Some Tamaki cosplayers need to not use the accent so much.
At least I got to meet that really nice Snow and Sarah. Can't wait to do a photoshoot with them!
